Is the newest upcoming trend of webdesign to make everything "pop- out" and flashy, while hiding the functionality behind all the confusion? A lot of elements are hidden a few page loads away from what used to be available up and front on the same page, some small scrolling away. It's like a serious backstep if you ask me.

YouTube is especially guilty of this. I swear I'll code some Greasemonkey script to make the new channel designs more bearable. Newgrounds does try to retain most of its functionality (and added a nice tag system for finding submissions), but still falls in making many elements unnecessarily bling blingy.

It's kinda like comparing fashion and normal everyday clothing, really.
